Oh what fun was it this day. We took all our kids to The empress garden as it was time for our very much awaited annual school trip. It was from 10 am to 4 pm. We were about 40 of us with 30 kids and 10 staff members including teachers and helpers. We had arranged a bus for conveyance. The kids love picnics so much that they couldn’t wait for this day to arise. They kept asking us why the 15th of december took so long to come. But it was all worth the wait. The longer you wait, all the more fun you have.
This time we choose december to be our month for the school trip because its the most favourable month for a picnic. The kids we strictly asked to come in the school uniform for safety reasons and to be organised. We provided the kids with snacks, fruits and lunch. The kids were only informed to get their labelled water bottle.
We also declared that this trip is going to be a sports day to incorperate sport activities, races and unique games to teach the children importance of physical activities in our lives to be healthy for a holistic development. The winner of each race was presented a small gift. There were a lot of other games that were played bythe kids. They were so enthusiastic and actively took part in every race and every game. Play time, nap time, lunch and snack time were effectively divided to ensure that there quality time for the kids to learn something new.
This day was very constructive and productive as the children ate properly, played exceedingly well and socialised with their classmates which is important for social, physical and language development.
